At Organic Guide we’re passionate about communicating the simple pleasures and benefits that leading an organic lifestyle offers, about bringing communities together, and about ensuring our planet remains viable for future generations. If you’re reading this, you probably feel the same. And perhaps you’d like to take your convictions to the next level.
Organic Guide is in the process of expanding its volunteer writing staff. Look around: people have never been more interested in leading an organic lifestyle than at any stage in the past. And they’re turning to the Internet to find answers. Want to help? If you’re keen to inspire people to think about the lifestyle choices they make today and how these impact upon their own, and others, health and wellbeing then Organic Guide provides the perfect communication platform.
You needn’t be an experienced writer: just someone who is passionate, communicates clearly, and can prepare actionable articles of interest to our dedicated organic readers. We’re always looking for generalists. But we’re also interested in writers with background in the following areas:
Clean, fresh, simply prepared food is the mainstay of the organic movement. If you love food and/or you have expertise in nutrition our readers would love to hear your voice.
You’ll know and be able to communicate the simple fact that everyone, irrespective of their outward appearance, has the capacity to be healthy and beautiful. You’ll also likely have an appreciation for why we shouldn’t be spraying our bodies with deodorants containing aluminium and other toxic chemicals.
Organic gardening is not only a relaxing pastime but also one of the best ways to source fresh organic produce. In this section, we’re particularly interested in providing newcomers to organic gardening with information and insights into how an organic approach differs from a conventional approach to gardening. If you love organic gardening and you’re able to answer questions from people such as me, who have only very limited gardening experience, we’d love to hear from you.
Most of our readers have families. Learning how to raise and be part of a family in today’s world is challenging - perhaps more so than in previous generations. Helping our readers adapt to these challenges and assist them in achieving health and happiness throughout the developmental phases of the lifecycle is the key focus of our family section. Specialist knowledge in areas such as pregnancy, infant health and aging would be valuable.
There’s a clear link between leading an organic lifestyle and achieving optimal health. There is also growing acknowledgement that the principles embodied by the organic movement have the capacity to enhance our life in areas beyond food. For example, our homes have become the chemical dumping grounds for clever marketers. What are the alternatives to heavy detergents, solvents, and toxic fly sprays in our homes? More broadly, how can we live a life that embodies the principles of sustainability? Our readers are keen to hear from you.
We’re all in this together. Nothing is more important than community. We’d love to hear about what’s happening in your part of the world. Share your events, news and organic stories with us.
Perhaps you have an idea that’s not listed above. We’re all ears. What are you waiting for? Contact us today.
