Privacy

Organic Guide Pty Ltd. (“Organic Guide”) is strongly committed to protecting your privacy while you interact with our Web site located at organicguide.com. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to tell you what kind of information we may gather about you when you visit our site, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of this information.

Collection of Information

Information is collected from you primarily to make it easier and more rewarding for you to use our services.

Organic Guide collects two types of information. The first type is Anonymous Information. Anonymous Information is data we collect in aggregate about a group or category of services or user from which individual user identities have been removed. Anonymous Information may include demographic data such as country of origin, citizenship, location, age, gender, preferences and survey information. This information is collected for research purposes, is used in the aggregate (where possible), and remains anonymous.

The second type of information that Organic Guide collects is Personal Information. Personal Information is information that is directly associated with a specific person or entity such as a user’s name, e-mail address, or other information that is directly linked to a particular person or entity. We will only collect this information when you provide it to us. The Personal Information we collect via this website may include:

  • the content of any electronic forms you submit via our Web site, requesting us to provide services or information, or take actions;
  • information submitted if you participate in an interactive dialogue; and
  • any messages or comments you submit to us via our Web site or to email addresses displayed on our Web site, which may include personal information such as name, email address and telephone number.

How much of your Personal Information you choose to disclose to Organic Guide is completely up to you. The only way we know something about you personally is if you provide it to us, for example when you register for one of our products or services.

Cookies

We may place a text file called a “cookie” in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain Personal Information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only Personal Information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can’t read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Organic Guide uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above).

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive a warning message with each cookie. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site. However, you do need cookies to participate actively in certain areas of our Web site.

Use of Anonymous Information

Organic Guide automatically gathers Anonymous Information to monitor the use of Organic Guide like the numbers and frequency of visitors to our Web site and its areas. We only use such data in the aggregate. This collective data helps us determine how much our audiences use parts of the site, so we can improve Organic Guide to ensure that it is as appealing as we can make it for as many users as possible. Organic Guide may publish or provide this aggregate data to other people.

Use of Personal Information

Organic Guide will only use the Personal Information you have chosen to provide us for the purpose for which you provided it. Organic Guide will not use it for any other purpose without your consent except when required by law, or if we reasonably believe that doing so may mitigate our liability, or if doing so will assist us in enforcing our rights. In the event of a business transfer, information about our users, including Personal Information, will be disclosed as part of any merger or acquisition, creation of a separate business to provide the Site or fulfil products, sale or pledge of company assets as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which Personal Information would be transferred as one of the business assets of the company.
